Badmatidaran welcomes original writing on Armenian history, culture, and heritage. We publish work for a general audience and encourage contributions from both established and emerging writers, researchers, and scholars.
We consider historical articles, essays, opinion and commentary pieces, reviews, and other research-based writing on Armenian history, culture, and heritage. We also welcome articles that use historical context to examine contemporary questions.
Submissions should be based on reliable research and should offer a clear argument, perspective, or contribution.
We do not publish unsupported claims, promotional material, propaganda, personal attacks, plagiarized work, or writing that deliberately misrepresents sources.
Articles should be clear and accessible to interested general readers. Please explain unfamiliar terms and provide sources for important historical claims. Footnotes or endnotes, while not necessary, are welcome where appropriate.
Submissions may be made in your preferred language. They will be published both in English and Western Armenian.
All submissions are reviewed by the Badmatidaran editorial team. Submission does not guarantee publication. Accepted articles may be edited for clarity, length, style, and accuracy in consultation with the author.
Submitted work should be original and should not have been published elsewhere unless this has been discussed with the editorial team in advance.
Authors retain copyright to their work. If an article is accepted for publication, Badmatidaran is granted permission to publish, reproduce, translate, and archive the article in both English and Western Armenian, with full attribution to the author.
